The Brief

St Edmunds Butchers has been a trusted name in the historic town of Bury St Edmunds for over 13 years and recently came under new ownership. The new proprietors were keen to revitalise the brand, bringing a fresh, contemporary feel while retaining its traditional roots. As part of the rebranding, the client requested the inclusion of a stylised cow’s head, complemented by a modern palette of greys, blues, and charcoal tones to add depth and character.

Project deliverables included a new logo design, full brand identity development, and the creation of supporting brand assets. Updated interior and exterior signage was also required to reflect the refreshed identity, along with the development of social media content to promote the brand and engage customers.

The Results

This was developed into a distinctive brandmark that also combined local elements of St Edmunds crown and arrows and also included the date established, adding to the heritage. A full suite of logo design, branding, and brand assets was developed as part of the project. The butcher’s shop also underwent a complete refurbishment, including updated interior and exterior signage to reflect the refreshed identity. In addition, social media content was created to highlight the shop’s latest offers, along with tips and advice on preparing and cooking a variety of meats.
